5. Structure & Advantages

KATA split body ball valves are designed, constructed and tested according to the most recent international standards, such as API, ASME, BS, DIN, etc.The stems of them are all equipped with anti-blowing structure. Thrust washers and oil-free bearings are added here to ensure that no valve jam happens during valve operations and avoid direct touch between the pressure parts.An O-ring and a graphite washer are used in the stuffing box to provide a double sealing barrier and make a fireproof safety seal on the stem.

All KATA floating ball valves have a limit position and lock structure. The upper structure is simple and easy to be changed to a special structure if required. 

All KATA floating ball valve seat slots are designed with a fireproof platform. After the soft seat is melted, the ball will fit to the metal seat surface of the valve body through the medium pressure to form a metal to metal seat seal.
